Somewhere in the Somerset countryside.
We're not going to pin a specific field on a map yet. The plot isn't settled, and it feels honest to wait until it is. What we can say is where, in the broadest sense, and why here.

West Country
We chose Somerset for the shape of its countryside and the pace of life inside it. A landscape of hedgerows, small fields, and old orchards, in a part of the West Country that has kept a working relationship with the land for a very long time. It is a place that rewards a particular kind of gardening: perennial, deep-rooted, patient.
Somerset has always kept small farms and craft food producers close together. Cider makers, cheesemakers, market gardeners, herbalists. It's a community we want to be near and, in time, to be useful to.
Somewhere between the hills and the coast.
